​✨ MEET THE MAKER ✨
Hi, I’m Hilary — the face behind Amped & Revamped 
I’ve always been drawn to pieces that others might overlook. I love taking something a bit tired or forgotten and turning it into something fresh, fun, and full of personality. For me, it’s all about the transformation — a bit of creativity, a bit of experimentation, and seeing where it ends up.
Before this creative chapter, I spent over 40 years working in Finance across three different countries — so it’s fair to say I’ve had a bit of a journey to get here! Two of my proudest professional moments were gaining my LLB Law Degree (years after qualifying as an accountant), and even getting my name in the credits of NZ TV shows — which was a bit of a thrill.
These days, I’m loving doing something more hands-on and creative. Every piece I work on is different, which is what keeps it exciting. I don’t really do “perfect” — I like character, texture, and things that feel a little bit unique. If it makes you smile or sparks a bit of joy, then I know I’ve done my job.
I also love that what I do gives things a second life. It feels good to create in a way that’s a little more sustainable, while still making something special for someone else to enjoy.
