I love things that are different, that are unique and that are individual.
I also love seeing what unloved and preloved things can be turned into, be revitalised and given a new lease of life. It's said that one person's rubbish is another's treasure and my intention is to create new treasures from original items.
I started upcycling and recycling jewellery in 2019 and sold them at local markets. Unfortunately, COVID-19 meant that markets couldn't be held, and so I put A&R on hold.
In 2022 I discovered book folding and now combine both.
With Amped and Revamped, items that were cast-off can be turned into one-offs, and ready for their new homes.
Supporting Orange Sky
Orange Sky provides free laundry, warm showers and genuine conversation to people experiencing homelessness, courtesy of their Orange Sky vans.
The organisation started in 2014 in Australia and they now have vans in Auckland and Wellington. They want to bring 4 more vans into use in NZ and I am proud to support them in reaching that goal.
