Having sourced our items, the first job is to give each piece a wash in a bowl of warm water with frothy washing-up liquid.
Each piece is gently cleaned with a soft child's toothbrush. |

The next job is to see if an item needs any simple (or complex) repairs to restore it to its former glory.
If so, these are done. |

The next job is to see if the item works well as it is, or whether it would work better as something else.
It may end up being repurposed. |

Finally, if the item would benefit from being redesigned and revamped, creating a new and exciting piece, then a new piece is crafted.
